ZigBee Alliance

The ZigBee Alliance is an association of companies working together to enable reliable, cost-effective, low-power, wirelessly networked, monitoring and control products based on an open global standard. The goal of the ZigBee Alliance is to provide the consumer with ultimate flexibility, mobility, and ease of use by building wireless intelligence and capabilities into everyday devices. ZigBee technology will be embedded in a wide range of products and applications across consumer, commercial, industrial and government markets worldwide. For the first time, companies will have a standards-based wireless platform optimized for the unique needs of remote monitoring and control applications, including simplicity, reliability, low-cost and low-power.

Spara och Bevara research program

Spara och Bevara is a research- and development-program for energy efficiency in the culturally and historically valuable buildings. The program aims to develop and deliver knowledge and technology solutions that contribute to energy efficiency in these buildings, without getting their values and inventory destroyed or corrupted. The Energy efficiency will be achieved through interdisciplinary collaborations, where technology meets cultural value. The goal is to create a permanent knowledge base in the area of energy use in culturally and historically valuable buildings and contribute to a long-term, sustainable management of the older buildings.

Energimindigheten is active in different sectors of society to create conditions for an efficient and sustainable energy use and cost-effective Swedish energy supply.

Linköping University

Cooperation across subject and faculty borders and an entrepreneurial spirit of education is the hallmark of Linköping University (LiU). Since its foundation in the 1970's, the university has established itself as an innovative and modern institution in both education and research.
During the past decade LiU has experienced rapid growth, involving the establishment of a new campus in the twin city of Norrköping. With a student population of 25 000 and 3 500 employees LiU is one of the major universities in Sweden.
The university is organized in four faculties and 14 departments.

The Department of Science and Technology is located at Campus Norrköping which is a part of Linköping University. Campus Norrköping is located in the city center of Norrköping, Sweden.

Communication Electronics research group

The research group of Communication Electronics is focused on innovative methods and techniques to deal with future electronic systems of high frequency and high data rate. The following research areas are identified: high-speed wireless data transmission techniques, development of distributed components and devices based up on printed circuit boards and other low cost techniques for frequencies above 1 GHz and modular solutions for communications and high-speed data transmissions and networking.

Linköpings Domkyrka

Linköpings Domkyrka is one of the largest churches in Scandinavia, where maximum 1500 persons can be in the building at the same time. The cathedral is located in the city center of Linköping, Sweden.

VINNOVA

VINNOVA - Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems - is Sweden's innovation agency, for promoting sustainable growth by improving the conditions for innovations, as well as funding needs-driven research. VINNOVA's vision is for Sweden to be a world-leading country in research and innovation, an attractive place in which to invest and conduct business. VINNOVA is a Swedish government agency working under the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications and acts as the national contact agency for the EU Framework Programme for R&D. About 200 people work at VINNOVA's offices in Stockholm and Brussels.
